Richard Rawlings’ annual roadshow opens on September 3 with the first of 17 stops across the UK, each giving a three hour presentation to agents - especially those whose average commission is two per cent or less.
The renowned agency trainer and consultant says that while the market may have been hit by the Tenants Fees Act, and influx of low commission agents and the inevitable Brexit confusion, there remains opportunities aplenty for pro-active agents.
“These apparent threats have been a wake-up call, to which pro-active agents have responded well. The all-but-demise of internet-only agency now paves the way for a new breed of High Street agent which the public is ready to embrace” says Rawlings.
“This means better quality, saleable, instructions and certainly better fees, as evidenced by the increasing number of smart agents who are already experiencing higher profits” he continues.
The theme of this year’s Roadshow is ‘Magnetic Agency - Persuasive Pitching - Higher Fees’ and he’s urging agencies to make it a team event, bringing staff to the three-hour sessions which will also explore the psychology of persuasion and the science behind effective valuation.
“Anyone currently charging less than two per cent will find this immediately useful”, he promises, saying there are hundreds of agents who can testify to the effectiveness of his sessions.
The 17 stops are all sponsored by LeadHub and The ValPal Network - the latter being a product of Angels Media, publisher of Estate Agent Today and all the Today industry titles.
Craig Vile, director of The ValPal Network, will be presenting at six of the Rawlings Roadshow locations - Camberley, Chelmsford, Watford, Brighton, Earlsfield, Illford.
