First off this week we call in at Salisbury where property consultancy Myddelton & Major has appointed three new partners.

Sarah Cull (right), Tim Haine (below left) and Rachael Wythe (below right) have all been promoted at the long established independent firm of chartered surveyors.

The firm’s senior partner Philip Holford says: “At Myddelton & Major we pride ourselves on the quality of the people we hire and I can truthfully say that these three are exceptional employees – professional, efficient and personable.”

Salisbury born and bred Sarah, partner in residential sales, joined the firm in 1999 and says: “I still get a complete buzz from achieving sales and helping clients through the sales process in what can be a particularly stressful time – and guiding them to a successful conclusion.”

Tim, a partner in commercial, joined in 2015 after a decade working in Southampton, and adds: “I’ll continue to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with clients, tenants and suppliers while striving to achieve positive outcomes for all.”

Rachael, also a partner and MRICS surveyor, began with Myddelton & Major in 2014 after working for national firms in Manchester and London and has over a decade’s agency experience. She says: “I appreciate the opportunity to serve the firm in the best possible way by utilising my skills for the benefit of our loyal client base.”

Meanwhile it’s an individual and a corporate success over at Belvoir, where the franchise agency’s Central Office Apprenticeship Scheme continues to be highly successful.

Accounting apprentice Adam Egner has won Accounting Apprentice of the Year at Grantham College & University Centre, with Belvoir also winning Employer of the Year in recognition of the support and mentoring the company offers apprentices.

Finance director Louise George, who accepted the Employer of the Year Award on behalf of Belvoir, says: “I would like to congratulate Adam on his success. He does a fantastic job and always strives to achieve a very high standard in all of his work.”

Adam is looking forward to studying for his level 4 qualifications in September, and adds: “It was a very pleasant surprise to win the award. I always went to college with the mindset of gaining my professional qualifications to the highest possible score, so for my efforts to be recognised like this is great.”

Now on to PropTech and a familiar national name - Mark Witherspoon - has become a non-exec director of REalyse, a real estate data platform.

A former chief executive at Hometrack and UKValuation, Mark most recently held the position of the data services director at Zoopla for over nine years.

Incorporated in 2015, REalyse closed is Series A fund raise in January 2019. Since then, the company has moved into its new headquarters in Bank, London and signed several landmark clients.

“I have been watching REalyse develop and grow over the years as an upcoming business and it was only natural that we would be working together to develop the strategy further” explains Mark.

More PropTech, and indeed more ex-Zoopla personnel, in this news from agency software company Loop.

It’s appointed Chris Lambrianou as a sales manager covering the south west and the Midlands. He previously worked as a business development manager at Zoopla and has experience of working with hundreds of estate agents.

Loop describes itself as a next generation property platform that combines agency software with data insights.

Property Jobs Today - your weekly update on who’s moving whereFinally this week, it’s a goodbye to Ian Wilson, who leaves the leadership of The Property Franchise Group at the end of next year after 16 years.

In a statement to shareholders he says: “After many fruitful years at the helm of Martin & Co and then The Property Franchise Group, I have made the board aware of my intention to retire at the end of next year. I have seen the company through its IPO and its successful years since.

“Throughout this time the business has shown the strength of its franchise model, the quality of its board and management team, and the resolve and determination to succeed of its franchisees. I look forward to continuing to ensure that the business is well positioned to flourish for many years to come.“

Good look to Ian from everyone at EAT and LAT.
