TODAY'S OTHER NEWS

Property Jobs Today - all the late-summer moves in our industry...

Hello and welcome to the final PJT before September - yes that means summer is almost over.

Yet even during the holiday season there’s been plenty of jobs news and this week is no exception.

Let us know what’s happening by emailing press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and we’ll tell the rest of the industry.

Let’s start with news that the highly-respected Mark Goddard has become chairman of iamproperty, the parent company of online auction firm iamsold.

Mark was managing director of ZPG Property Services and before that chief executive of The Property Software Group.

Iamproperty, which is marking its 10th anniversary, now works with 2,500 estate agency branches and has sold over 16,500 properties since launch.

Newcastle-headquartered iamproperty employs 185 people.

It’s goodbye to easyProperty co-founder Rob Ellice, who after many years has stepped down as commercial director of the agency's former holding company Eprop Services Ltd.

In June this year he sold his 1.9 million shares in the company to investment group Toscafund as part of a bid for Eprop, which was eventually sold to the Evolve group earlier this month.

Staying on the Proptech front there’s news that industry veteran Eric Walker - ex-Belvoir and Northwood managing director - has been named as “industry specialist” for the Lettings Hub’s new Property Passport. He joins the hub’s advisory board.

“It delivers everything a letting agent needs to reduce their view to let ratio and saves everyone involved in letting property time and money. The amount of upfront and free information a letting agent, landlord and tenant can receive is the key game changer here” he says.

Finally this week there’s more PropTech news involving the high-profile 3D and data company Matterport. It’s taken on former Foxtons head of property services and head of expansion Nick Samuels to become its strategic operations director.

“Matterport is an extremely exciting tech company growing AI, AR and cloud integration technology, as it becomes the standard for 3D captures. I’m looking forward to working with such a dynamic company with its expert team to help accelerate the business as it continues to go from strength to strength” he says.

That’s it for this week - and in fact as next Monday is the final Bank Holiday of the summer season, we’re not back with PJT until September 2.

So until then, enjoy the end of summer…
