Like many good agencies, Savills understands that selling a long-loved family home can be tough for a vendor.
So it was with John and Lucy Strachan, who instructed the firm to sell the farmhouse they have lived in for 24 years in Scotland’s Pentland Hills Regional Park, 15 miles from the centre of Edinburgh.
Lucy was feeling tearful about their impending move when Savills photographer Sean Begley arrived but over coffee the pair realised they had a common bond - a love of Marmite.
So with Lucy having a substantial collection of Marmite jars, Sean made the photography process a little less painful by hiding one jar in each photo of the property’s interior. You could almost say, he *spread* them about the house.
“Sean turned something which could have been really awful into a fun afternoon … Seeing the tiny pots hidden in various nooks and crannies makes me smile” explains Lucy.

Charming and fabulous idea on so many levels. I bet they get masses of views because they have "gameified" it! Possibly unwitting, due to the considerate and fun approach by the photographer, but a brilliant PR stunt nevertheless.
