Another online agency launches no sale, no fee package

99home is the latest online agency to launch a no sale, no fee option for its vendors.

The firm, which was launched in 2017, follows its competitors Yopa and Housesimple in offering a more traditional no sale, no fee package.

Vendors who opt to use the new price structure will pay £799 or £999 within London and the M25.

The package includes a valuation, floor plans, Rightmove and Zoopla advertising, a For Sale board and sales negotiation, among other features.

Sellers using the service will be required to pay an additional fee for accompanied viewings, premium portal listings and Energy Performance Certificates.

99home will continue to offer an upfront fee service, costs for which start at £99 for sellers.

The agency says a number of owners across the country have asked for no sale, no fee and that it has reacted to this feedback and implemented the system.

Back in April, 99home said it was revising its business model to provide franchise opportunities for 'self-motivated property professionals'.

The firm's co-founder, Sachin Gupta, said there are no upfront franchise fees, no monthly fees and no fixed term contract for agents wishing to operate under the 99home branding.

Has 99Home changed their model to a no sale no fee model, for some customers, I thought they always offered this option? For sure 99Home raised hundreds of thousands of pounds through crowdfunding only 7-months ago, so if they are now emphasising a reliance on a no sale no fee model I wonder where this is all leading?

Is it a case that the general public as a whole have fallen out of love with the online, pay upfront and pray for a sale model, and 99Home have realised this?

On a positive is you want to cheer yourself up, I suggest you log onto the 99Home website - and look at Dave's explanation of their business model, it contains lots of wigs and a confusing amount of Dave's … but it certainly is entertaining. It is always good to be different - well done.
