Two new free-to-list portals say they have now attracted 100,000 listings from 1,600 agents.
The portals - Residential People and Commercial People - says the advertising agents come from across the UK, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa; an estimated 11,400 of the current listings are from the UK.
They launched in early March with some 1,200 agents and 50,000 listed properties on board.
The residential site carries a range of PropTech features such as automatic PDF and microsite generation facilities as well as a real-time video generator, and is aiming at estate agents, landlords and ancillary service providers.
Christopher May, co-director of the parent company (also called Commercial Property) says: “The hard work has just begun but we are overjoyed with the positive response from agents so far. Most of the agents that have contacted us, see us as a valuable addition to their online presence and we are honoured that they can see the value we are adding to the industry.
The parent company says 2019 will be a landmark year with both portals expanding their reach by launching in India and Nigeria, before debuting in China by the end of the year.
May says: “We have successfully registered our company in China, it’s worth highlighting the fact that there is an increasing trend of overseas buyers that find the UK, UAE and South Africa an attractive proposition. So for agents in those countries, we hope they will see us an additional string to their bow, and as a facilitator that will open the doors to attracting foreign investment.”
