Independent agents’ group FIA to launch ‘within days’ with Viewber link-up

The soon-to-launch Federation of Independent Agents has announced that its latest supplier partner is to be outsourced viewing service Viewber.

Graham Lock, a former managing director at The Property Franchise Group and now founder of the FIA, says Viewber is the latest of 30-plus approved suppliers.

The FIA is a member only organisation with the objectives of giving independents the scale and quality of supplier access that is often reserved for bulk-buying corporates.

“Estate agency is quickly evolving to satisfy modern consumers’ 24/7 demands. Our partnership with Viewber helps to solve a problem for member agents and also provides them with an exclusive discount” explains Lock.

Viewber has a network of some 6,000 trained and local ‘Viewbers’ who can be booked by agents online, anywhere in the UK seven days a week, to handle weekend visits, inspections, photos, 360 tours, inventories and more. Service founder Ed Mead says: “I’m really looking forward to working with Graham. It’s a modern organisation, complementing the Viewber service offering and offering best in class solutions as consumer expectations head towards an ‘always on’ culture.”

Last week Lock revealed that housing and market intelligence data company Homesearch was also becoming one of the FIA’s suppliers.

The FIA has already attracted over 200 brands with some 400 branches that have pre-registered their interest in joining.

It allows only one member agent per town will be invited to join, and Lock says that in addition to an entry application process “agents will be expected to be top performers in their area and conduct their business in a professional and compliant manner.”
