The fledgling trade body the Federation of Independent Agents has revealed another new partner - this one dealing with housing and market intelligence data.
The new supplier, Homesearch, joins over 30 others hand-picked by the FIA’s founder, Graham Lock.
The FIA is a member only organisation with the objectives of giving independents the scale and quality of supplier access that is often reserved for bulk-buying corporates.
Lock - founder of the first online agency House Network, and more recently a well-known industry consultant - says that through Homesearch, FIA members will have access to property data and demographic insight on every residential address in the UK.
“Consumers are expecting a more data driven approach from their estate agents and with Homesearch’s housing and market intelligence, FIA members are going to be better informed, better prepared and will be able to work more efficiently and with greater confidence than without it” Lock has told Estate Agent Today.
“We know how important data is to agents and we personally vetted a lot of businesses in this space before we chose Homesearch. It’s our partnerships with great businesses that are the first step in building a modern and truly meaningful trade organisation.”
Sam Hunter, director of Homesearch, adds:“Great things happen out of the right partnerships. We’re in the early stages of our own journey and share Graham’s vision of enabling the best agents with the best technology.”
The FIA - its website is here - has already attracted over 200 brands with some 400 branches that have pre-registered their interest in joining.
It allows only one member agent per town will be invited to join, and Lock says that in addition to an entry application process “agents will be expected to be top performers in their area and conduct their business in a professional and compliant manner.”
