Agency continues expansion programme with two new offices

Hunters has continued its expansion in the north of England with two new branches in Yorkshire and Lancashire.

The Pontefract branch becomes the second to launch in Wakefield in as many months, following the opening of an office in Castleford in December; meanwhile Hunters has also opened in Leigh, Wigan.

Like the Castleford branch, the Pontefract office will also be operated by Mark Wheeldon and his team, which formerly traded as 5towns Sales and Lettings.

In addition to its growth in Yorkshire, Hunters is also expanding in the North-West.

The Hunters Leigh branch will bolster Hunters’ Lancashire presence, where it already has offices in Darwen and Blackpool. It will be operated by Mark Littlewood and his team, who ran Littlewood Estate Agents before it rebranded.

Hunters - which opened its first office in York in 1992 and its first franchising branch in 2006 - now has a network of over 200 branches nationwide, with offices in a number of key regions across the UK including London, Oxford, Bristol, Middlesbrough, Wales and Manchester, and many other locations.

Glynis Frew, chief executive of Hunters Property, says: “It’s fantastic to be able to kick off 2019 with new branch launches in the face of well-documented challenges being faced by the industry.  We are delighted to be growing in regions across the country and offer an unrivalled customer service that is built upon a strong emphasis on local knowledge, expertise, a nationwide marketing programme and the highest professional standards developed through the Hunters training academy.”
