Ewe-turn for independent agents joining hybrid franchise

EweMove, the hybrid agency owned by The Property Franchise Group, has announced five new franchisees - several of them are independent agency operators rebranding.

In Reading, independent agent Julia Stewart has converted her firm to a EweMove franchise, while at Barnet in north London Jeff Wynne - who sold his independent agency last year - has started working as the hybrid’s local franchisee.

Steve Lishman has opened in Aylesbury and David Walker has done the same thing at Horsforth & Adel in Yorkshire, while in Gloucester independent agency owner Nikki Smith has rebranded her office.

EweMove managing director Nick Neill says: “Here are five people who have the gumption to make a big business decision at a time when lots of others are fretting about Brexit and an uncertain property market.

“All five have decided that our ‘business in a box’ which comprises property advertising on Rightmove and Zoopla, a 24-hour call centre, a top performing website and eye-catching, deliberately provocative branding for £1,000 per month is the way to get a head-start over the competition."

The company says there are now over 120 EweMove franchisees across the UK.

Poll: Is now the right time for a High Street agent to become a hybrid?
