Yopa's new marketing boss aims to "challenge estate agency norms"

Yopa - the online agency enjoying large-scale financial backing from Savills and LSL Property Services, the owner of Your Move - has appointed a retail guru to lead its marketing onslaught.

Pip Heywood’s role as chief marketing officer will include responsibility for all aspects of the agency’s branding and advertising.

Her 15 years of experience includes roles at Hovis and Imperial Leather, as well as Shop Direct and - for the last five years - MoneySuperMarket. A statement from Yopa says that at MoneySuperMarket Heywood “contributed to a meaningful increase in the business’ brand revenue through creative, award-winning campaigns.”

In her new role, Yopa says Heywood will be “leveraging her extensive knowledge of disruptive consumer-facing businesses to accelerate the company’s growth beyond its current position of eighth largest UK estate agency brand and its clear number two position in the hybrid estate agency space.”

Heywood herself says she’s glad to be joining the company at a pivotal stage of growth and is “proud to represent a young brand that puts the customer at heart of everything it does and is prepared to stand out from the crowd through disrupting and challenging the estate agency category norms and age-old wisdom.”

    Good luck with that.

    A wannabe Alison Platt?

Obviously no-one at Yopa has ever heard of Countrywide then!

Ha, that worked well for the last company that tried it!
Don't you just love these disruptors?

  • Charlie Lamdin

*facepalm* - estate agency isn’t “retail”, it’s “agency”. I sometimes wonder how the bosses at Savills and LSL can back this sort of idea. It won’t work.

Why do people from any industry think they know more about our business.?
