Viewber completes 35,000th viewing after 460% growth in just a year

Viewber has announced that it’s just completed its 35,000th outsourced viewing, reflecting a jaw-dropping 460 per cent rise in just a year.

The service, celebrating its second anniversary, marked its 6,500th viewing a year ago and says it now has a client base of 300 estate and lettings agencies representing 1,000 users across the country.

It has around 5,000 ‘Viewbers’ who handles viewings on behalf of agents.

Viewber was launched in September 2016 by high-profile London agent Ed Mead, along with digital expert Marcus de Ferranti.

Since that time it has raised almost £3m in funding and now guarantees any viewing anywhere in the UK with 24 hours notice; investors include former Foxtons managing director Peter Rollings.

“For many agents the ability to cut fixed costs, whilst generating more income and increasing their reach, could mean the difference between thriving and going under. To be able to do that whilst significantly improving customer service is remarkable” says Mead.

To mark the second anniversary, the service has conducted a poll of 250 buyers and prospective tenants, revealing that 97 per cent would find it beneficial to be shown around a property at evenings and weekends, while 81 per cent accept the principle of being shown around a property by an independent vetted person.

Some 77 per cent of respondents say they have attended a viewing where they felt the agent wanted to sell the property ahead of providing reliable information, while 62 per cent say they would feel more comfortable being shown around a property by someone who wasn’t looking for a sales commission.
