Agents’ Giving: Tickets are now on sale for the industry Charity Christmas ball organised by Agents Giving and supported by The Tenant Shop which takes place on Friday December 7 at The Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel London.

Agents Giving is hosting the very first Agents Got Talent competition, so if you or a team member can sing, dance, can can, play the spoons, or magic Simon Cowell out of a hat then let the charity know.

It’s an event not to be missed.

The evening will also see the industry’s fundraisers recognised for their charity and community efforts over the past year in The Fundraising Champion Awards 2018.

We will hear many heartwarming stories of personal and team challenges and triumphs to help raise funds and awareness for causes close to their hearts.

It’s free and easy to enter the awards; you can either enter yourself, team or recommend someone you know who has gone the extra mile to make a difference to the cause they support. The categories include best team and individual fundraising and best agency CSR and a full list can be found online.

Agents Giving is also now taking bookings for tables at £1,600 per table of 10 or £175 per individual ticket. So book your tickets today.  As well as celebrating the industry’s fundraising efforts the ball is a fantastic place to have your Christmas party and kick start the festivities.

Nicholas Humphreys Charitable Foundation: A remarkable £75,000 has been raised - at just one event - to build a new kitchen and conservatory at Loughborough’s Rainbows hospice.

The one-night event was led by a performance from M-People’s Heather Small and went on to include an auction.

It takes the total donated to charities by local agency Nicholas Humphreys to a remarkable £160,000 over some 20 years, thanks to annual golf days and charity balls.

St Mungo's: Chestertons has funded a ground-breaking new programme set up by its charity partner, St Mungo’s, which recruits volunteers to help tackle the number of people sleeping rough in London.

The estate agent has fully funded the full-time employment of a new ‘Volunteer Coordinator’ for St Mungo’s who has established a large pool of volunteers from across London to allow the charity to launch its ‘First Response’ programme.

Agents Do Charity - and it's time to show off your talent...

The First Response programme aims to reduce long term homelessness by streamlining the outreach service, meaning locating and engaging with people rough sleeping is faster.

First Response also gives trained outreach workers more time to encourage people sleeping rough to make use of the support services on offer, to help them move away from the streets into supported living.

Since recruiting the Chestertons-funded Volunteer Coordinator in April, the programme has proved a phenomenal success with over 150 Londoners signing up to volunteer for morning or evening shifts. These new volunteers have already clocked up 615 hours, following up referrals and walking the streets helping to locate people sleeping rough across the capital.

First Response is currently operating in four London boroughs: Westminster, Tower Hamlets, City of London and Islington, with nine shifts taking place each week.
