OnTheMarket signs up 11-branch regional agency

OnTheMarket has signed up an estate and lettings agency firm run by a family and with 11 offices across west Devon and Cornwall.

“Millerson estate agents are excited to be joining in with the success of another influential property portal to provide even greater exposure of our properties to a wider audience. This will help landlords and vendors in this ever-changing local, regional and international market place” says a statement from Jeremy Miller, operations partner at the agency. 

Helen Whiteley, OTM’s commercial director, says: “It’s great to see yet another multi-branch firm throw its weight behind OnTheMarket. It has been an incredibly exciting few months as we have watched the momentum build behind our disruptive strategy for an agent-backed portal.”

Last week the portal, which was floated in February, announced that 10,500 agent offices were now in contract, representing around 57 per cent of UK residential agency branches.

However, the portal also repeated a warning it gave earlier this summer that much of its growth had been through the offering of free listings under short term introductory trial offers. The portal says it has “a view to converting these to full tariff contracts when the value of its offering has been demonstrated.”

OTM describes itself as the third biggest UK residential property portal provider in terms of traffic.
