Four-branch regional agency snaps up single-office firm

Oakwood Homes, a four-branch sales and lettings agency operating across East Kent, has acquired Parkland Estates, a single-branch firm based in Thanet.

Oakwood was set up in 2005 and also handles property management, land and new homes, mortgages, financial services and property investment.

Oakwood founder and managing directer Andrew Dickinson and Parkland’s MD Paul McGuirk have worked together in the past.

Dickinson says: “Joining the firms is a strategic move to further strengthen our lettings and property management business as well as increasing our overall share in the local market. We’ve several plans to diversify into additional sectors. We’re actively adapting to the rapid changes seen in the property industry, as demand for greater openness and transparency rightly becomes evident.”

Both companies have a long-standing association with the area and both executives schooled, lived and worked in Thanet for over three decades.

The Parkland office will now operate under the Oakwood banner.
