Sotheby’s International Realty launches first 'agent-branded' augmented reality app

Sotheby's International Realty has launched what it claims to be the first 'real estate-branded' augmented reality (AR) app.

'Curate', which is now available on Apple iOS-enabled devices, allows prospective buyers and tenants to visualise a home as their own through virtually staged images.

The app, which was made available on the Google Play Store earlier this year, is powered by ro0omy, a virtual staging platform which specialises in 3D modelling, AR and virtual reality content.

“The launch of Curate has generated excitement throughout our global network and we are proud to see our sales associates adopting this technology and using it as we intended,” says

John Passerini, global vice president of interactive marketing for Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates LLC.

"We look forward to continuing enhancements on Curate to better empower our sales associates and potential homebuyers.”

The Sotheby’s International Realty network currently has nearly 22,000 affiliated independent sales associates located in 950 offices in 70 countries and territories worldwide.
