Reapit increases market dominance with latest acquisition

Reapit has announced the acquisition of Resource Techniques in a bid to strengthen its position in the agency software market.

Resource Techniques, which provides specialist agency software, web design and online services, will continue to operate from its Hendon headquarters.

Reapit says it will be using the acquisition to expand the range of website and online services it currently offers, while Resource Techniques will benefit from being able to offer the digital solutions Reapit has developed to help agents compete with hybrid and online operators.

Resource Techniques’ clients will also have access to Reapit's RPS CRM platform.

“We are very excited to welcome the Resource Techniques team and their clients to the Reapit Group," says Gary Barker, chief executive of Reapit.

Nigel Trickey, Resource Techniques' managing director, who will be retained in a consultancy role, adds: “We have built a great website proposition for estate agents and now have over 350 sites running for our clients."

"I am very happy that we will now be able to offer our clients access to Reapit’s award-winning software and services to help grow their businesses.”

Reapit works with a number of high-profile agency brands, including Savills, Romans, Marsh & Parsons and CBRE.

The group now provides software solutions to over 20,000 users worldwide and employs 150 people across its five offices in the UK and Australia.

Resource Techniques was founded in 1989 and has grown to provide over 3,000 estate agents with a range of digital services.

Back in April, Reapit announced the acquisition of Pocket Size Media. Meanwhile, earlier this month, it was revealed that the software company is providing a real-time data feed for OnTheMarket users.
