Property Jobs Today - who’s on the move within our industry?

Hello and welcome to this week’s Property Jobs Today - our regular Monday look at who’s moving where within our industry.

You can share your news by dropping us a line at press@estateagenttoday.co.uk and we’ll let our readers know.

Now this week’s news ... and we start with Hamptons International appointing senior regional director Catherine Westerling as national Head of Lettings.

Since joining Hamptons International in 2005, Catherine has directed more than 80 per cent of the agency’s lettings operations outside London, delivering a three-fold increase in financial results and branch network size across the Home Counties and South of England.

The last five years have seen our award winning Lettings and Property Management businesses achieve impressive results, out-performing the market to establish a strong platform upon which to build for the future” she says.

Meanwhile another Countrywide brand, Finders Keepers, says goodbye to stalwart Frank Webster, who leaves the business after 30 years building it up to one of the best respected names in the industry.

A long-time campaigner for higher standards within the lettings sector, Frank’s departure follows hot on the heels of FK’s managing director Dan Channer who - as we reported two weeks ago - has also left the firm.

On to the Henry Adams agency which has 16 branches located throughout West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey.

Its head of residential sales, Gareth Overton, has been promoted to become an equity partner.

Having joined Henry Adams from Countrywide in 2016 to oversee the sales operations, Gareth has worked with the residential sales teams to ensure the firm is one of the most successful agencies in the region.

Gareth says: “We’re all in a changing economic and technological environment and I’ve been really impressed by the way Henry Adams’s teams have embraced change in a very professional, very friendly way.”

Now let’s go north of the border where property consultancy Galbraith has recruited six new chartered and trainee surveyors and a qualified town planner and has strengthened its business with promotions to senior associate and associate level.

Galbraith now has a team of over 270 people working across a broad spectrum of property and land management services.

Promotions to senior associate level include Phiddy Robertson and Alex Inglis from residential sales, and Nick Morgan from the utilities division.

Meanwhile promotions to associate level include Louise Alexander, James Bowie, Gareth Taylor and Neil Wright.

There are brand new appointments too - Harry Trotter as an associate, Alistair Harrington as a chartered surveyor, and Joanne Plant as a planner.

Four others join as graduate trainees - they are Jack Marshall, Ailsa Baird, Kate Michie and Harry Graham.

Finally this week, news from Brown & Co in East Anglia. The agency has signed Martin Cunningham as Divisional Partner - Residential Services.

Martin's 32 year career journey has taken him across corporate and independent agency including digital media, having been Commercial Director of Homes24 for Archant Community Media and more recently Head of UK Sales & Business Development for a national property auction franchise chain.

“I’ve long admired Brown & Co, it’s a respected trusted brand and is already a formidable operator with its 12 UK branches plus overseas operations. This business already has massive strength and depth of experience within its specialist teams and my aim is to play my full part in expanding both private and corporate client services” he says.

That’s it for this week - see you next time...
