Phil Spencer launches new online advice service for buyers

TV property expert Phil Spencer is launching an online advice service for buyers and tenants, including offering guidance on the specific property they may be considering purchasing or renting.

Spencer, who before becoming a TV property celebrity started the buying agency Garrington Property Finders, says his new site - www.moveiq.co.uk - is to be launched formally at this coming weekend’s ideal Home Show.

“The general idea behind it was to offer advice and guidance to buyers and tenants at whatever stage of the home moving journey they are at” Spencer has told Estate Agent Today.

“Over the years I've been asked thousands of ‘home moving’ questions and so I have attempted to answer as many as I can remember in short articles on each topic. There are plenty more in the pipeline” he adds.

“The Move iQ Property Report has been specifically designed to help people form a rounded opinion on the pros as well as the cons of a particular property they're considering. My intention here has been to try and simplify the data and make it easier to understand as well as advise buyers and tenants how to use the information to their advantage.”

The report costs from £14.99 plus VAT and Spencer says “I really don’t believe there’s anything else out there which comes close in terms of quality of information available at the time it’s needed most”.

Partnering with data provider 192.com, Spencer’s reports include data on who owns a property now and how much they paid, local planning applications and recently sold prices in the area. It also carries area data on crime rates, schools and local amenities.

Extra online features include free quote requests from partnered suppliers for mortgages, conveyancing, surveying and removals and utility switch services.
