Estate Agent Today can exclusively reveal that well known London estate agent Patricia Farley has joined the new ‘freelance’ agency Harding Green.
Farley has enjoyed a long property career over 40 years working at her family’s Farley & Co agency as well as at Humberts and Chestertons.
She began her career with her grandfather’s business, Farley & Co, at South Kensington; in 2000 it acquired Humberts and Patricia went on to become a board member.
In 2008 the company was acquired by Chestertons where, over the past decade, Farley (pictured right) has been a residential board member and area director responsible for nine officers across central London, including Farleys.
Harding Green was set up in September and shortly moves into permanent premises in Kensington. Its business model is based on eventually recruiting around 20 freelance associates earning commission of up to 70 per cent.
Farley is believed to be the fourth associate recruited, although the firm says around 100 agents have been in touch seeking to be considered. The company states that its agents must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and “a strong track history of winning instructions and delivering exceptional service for clients.”
“I am sad to be leaving the Farleys brand behind, as it is something that has been close to my heart for around 40 years, but this is an exciting new chapter for me” says Farley.
“This industry is changing rapidly, and Harding Green offers something unique that benefits everybody. I have always believed in the ‘independent’ concept of dealing with one person from start to finish, and I am confident that Harding Green will be a huge success.”
Farley is now an investor in the business as well as an active associate.
“Patricia is without a doubt a brand in herself. Anyone that knows her or has worked with her will have tremendous respect. She is a real asset to have on board and will be instrumental in encouraging other talented professionals to join us too, whilst bringing a wealth of experience and a vast amount of property contacts which she has amassed over the last few decades” says Nick Carter, Harding Green’s founder and managing director.
“Having worked for Patricia for six years at Chestertons, much of what I have achieved is down to her endless support, so I am absolutely delighted to be working with her again” he adds.
Harding Green provides its freelance agents with office accommodation, admin, IT and lead-generating support campaigns.
