A new internet and DAB radio station specialising on the subject of property will launch from purpose built studios next month.
Property Radio claims it will be the first radio station in the world broadcasting live and 24/7 about the subject.
However, it also says it will “provide a window on the world at large” which means it will be covering a very wide range of other subjects including travel, health, music and talk, arts and entertainment, politics and business, the environment, lifestyle, women’s issues and sport.
Programmes will be broadcast live from studios in north and central London every Sunday from noon to 6pm with pre-recorded material streaming at all other times.
“There will be something for everyone and the magazine-style format of the shows means a fast pace and will make sure we keep our listeners interested and involved” explains Mike Segall, founder of the station.
“We now have a team of experienced broadcasters, producers and researchers working on Property Radio to bring the best of broadcasting to the world via the internet” he says.
“Our marketing, PR, press, publicity, internet and social networking strategies mean that Property Radio will enjoy a highly visible place in the media. You can join the Property Radio members group on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.”
The station’s website says its team of broadcasters includes Janey Lee Grace - a familiar voice as a member of the ‘posse’ in the studio during DJ Steve Wright’s BBC Radio 2 show - plus Jenny Ellice, a former anchor at Russia Today and the presenter of the flagship programme on Property TV, and Sharron Livingston, founder of The Travel Magazine.
The station begins broadcasting on November 11.
