Strutt & Parker is bucking the trend on High Street offices by opening a new one - and in this case, PropTech is to the fore in a bid to win new customers.
Its new Windsor office will work closely with the existing Ascot branch, and this brings Strutts' network now to 67, including 10 in prime central London.
“We had previously been serving the Windsor market from our Ascot branch, but with demand only growing each month, it makes sense for us to be present here with our own dedicated office that allows us to give our clients the best service possible” explains Guy Robinson, head of residential at Strutt & Parker, which is marking its first anniversary since the completion of its acquisition by French bank BNP Paribas.
To mark the opening the agency is offering free 3D walk-throughs to their first 1,000 new listings in the UK.
Matterport technology will give would-be homebuyers what the agency calls “a new way to view properties – a fully immersive virtual reality tour available from the click of a button.”
Although VR has been used in the property industry for some time now, Strutt & Parker says it’s the first agency offering it as part of its set marketing package.
“Imported from America, Matterport offers cutting edge technology that is a huge leap forwards from grainier attempts at 3D modelling of previous years. The 3D 'dolls house' view allows users to smoothly navigate through the home, gliding past each room in crystal clear definition” says the company.
