Agencies back sales progression tool that cuts completion times

A chain tracking platform claims a trial by Leaders Group during 2017 shows its sales progression tool improving completion times by up to three weeks and reducing the risk of fall-throughs.

“An initial trial of View My Chain improved completion times by up to three weeks in some cases, and on that basis, we have agreed to roll this out to additional regions in 2018” explains Kevin Shaw, managing director of Leaders Group.

Specialist rural estate agency Fisher German has also entered into a partnership with the company behind View My Chain after trials of the service. Fisher German managing director Alasdair Dunne says: “We recognise the importance of good sales progression in the current climate which is why we’ve invested further in improving this area of our business.”

The tool was launched in 2016 having at that time been piloted by over 1,000 branches of more than 100 agency brands; the cloud based system claims it can significantly reduce agents’ work in terms of telephone calls and chasing other agents and conveyancers.

It breaks the chain into a series of standard categories - Sold SSTC; Contracts Underway; Legal Searches Ordered, legal Searches Expected, Mortgage Funding, Property Exchange and Property Completion - but this list of ‘milestones’ can be customised by participating estate agents.

View My Chain chief executive Sohail Rashid claims that his platform has now become “an enabler for strong estate agency brands looking to further strengthen their presence in their local markets.”
