Senior Hamptons International country agent dies after cancer battle

Countrywide has announced the death of Nick Hole-Jones, the director of Hamptons International’s prime and country house office, after what it describes as “a brave year-long battle with cancer.” 

He passed away quietly and peacefully on New Year’s Eve at home with his family by his side.

Nick Hole-Jones worked for Hamptons International for many years, most recently in the prime and country house role since 2010. Prior to that he worked out of Hamptons head office, again specialising in the sale of country houses.

His earlier career was with with John D Wood in Berkshire and Hampshire, and Dreweatt Neate across Southern England.

“Nick was not only an esteemed and much loved colleague; he was a great friend with a wicked sense of humour. His professional skill in the sale of prime and country houses was hugely appreciated by clients and staff across the country and we have lost a very special man” says Joanna Cocking, head of prime and country houses at Hamptons International. 

Peter Everett, the agency’s head of country sales, says: “Nick was one of the good guys in the industry and will be very sorely missed by everyone within the Hamptons International family. We are very proud to have known and worked closely with him over the past few years.”

Nick is survived by his wife Erica and children Henry and Natasha.
