Regional property portal MoviNorth says it plans to secure additional investment to expand its coverage by the end of 2017.
The portal - which charges agents £2,500 for 12 months' advertising - is run by John Dixon, who previously ran a media planning and buying agency with clients such as DFS and Vision Express.
Currently the Harrogate-based service covers around 50 per cent of Yorkshire but Dixon wants to expand to cover the entire county by the end of the year.
“Our roots are firmly planted in Yorkshire which means we love value - value to the estate agents and developers showcasing their properties across the region and value to our web users by providing unique area data and local knowledge to help match them with their next home” he says.
The portal also lists Area Demographics, Schools, Restaurants, Solicitors, Transport Links, Places of Worship, Shopping, General Information, Sport, The Arts and Local Attractions.
It is currently hosting a competition for users who, if they register with the portal, can then enter a contest with the opportunity to win a £5,000 home deposit contribution.
So far MoviNorth has had a marketing budget of around £800,000.
