The Advertising Standards Authority has stepped in after receiving a complaint about two ads for properties listed on Rightmove.
The homes were being marketed by Leftmove Estate Agents, an agency in the Preston area.
The complainant objected that the properties were advertised as being under offer while the Land Registry showed they had been sold in March and April 2017 respectively.
A statement from the ASA says: “We contacted the advertiser who explained the mistake was due to human error and updated the ads to ‘sold’. Based on this amendment, we considered no further action was needed and closed the case informally.”
