A one branch independent estate agency has this week launched a fixed-fee sales option alongside its traditional commission-based service.
WH Breading, which is based in Faversham, Kent, has launched 'MoveSmart' which it describes as a 'commission free service'.
The firm says the new model - which is now being featured on its website alongside its traditional services - 'combines the best features of an independent estate agent and modern internet property marketing'.
Vendors who use WH Breading's MoveSmart model will be able to list their home for '£750+ VAT'.
The agency describes MoveSmart as a 'flexible' way for vendors to sell their home and invites them to build their own package of services via its website.
"There may be zero per cent commission but there's one hundred per cent customer service," reads a statement issued by the agency.
The firm's director, Duncan MacKinnon, explains: “We realise that our customers are looking for new and innovative ways of selling their property and we want to respond to that."
WH Breading has published a video on its website which explains to prospective vendors how the new service works.
This news comes after it emerged last week that GPEA Ltd - parent company of the Guild and Fine & Country - is merging with easyProperty.
The deal means that GPEA members will be given the opportunity to licence the easyProperty brand to offer vendors and landlords a fixed-fee, no-frills service.
