Chain management tool helping agents to deal with onliners

An estate agent claims that chain management tool View My Chain has helped his firm to deal with chains involving online and hybrid estate agents.

Darren Hunt, associate partner at 15 branch agency Fisher German, says the tool has been particularly helpful when dealing with other agents who do not 'typically offer sales progression to the same level as traditional agents'.

View My Chain is a data-driven chain management tool which does not depend on estate agents or legal representatives manually inputting data

It aims, therefore, to provide consumers and agents with up-to-date and reliable information.

Hunt says that the tool enhances the customer service that the best and most proactive agents provide.

"We believe that all home movers will expect this level of service in the future," he says.

View My Chain quotes a vendor, Charlie Stockford, who decided to sell his property through an online estate agent.

“It has helped me understand what’s happening between the different parties," says the property seller.

"Even with limited agent contact, it's provided reassurance that it is still progressing to plan.”

Another agent, Matthew Illsley of Meridian Estate Agents, with several branches across the south coast, says allowing clients to see the chain progressing helps them to understand the role of an agent.

“It’s a fact that home movers don’t fully understand the amount of time and effort that happens behind the scenes when they buy or sell their home," he says.

"In addition to being verbally kept up-to-date they welcome the assurance of visually seeing it progress.”

View My Chain was founded in 2015 by Ian Lancaster and Sohail Rashid.

Over the course of 2016, the product was piloted by over 1,000 agency branches from over 100 agency brands. It has since claimed to cut average transaction times by around 15 days.
