Agency beefs up London presence ahead of "potential headwinds"

Carter Jonas has made three key appointments to beef up its London team.

Simon Scott has joined as an associate partner in the Knightsbridge office. Previously he was head of sales in Bromley and responsible for property and land within and around two 300 acre private estates in Kent. Prior to that he spent 14 years at Hamptons International’s Kensington office.

James Mashiter is to head up Carter Jonas’ London New Homes division having joined from CBRE, where he was a residential development senior surveyor. Prior to that, he worked for EA Shaw for two and a half years as a sales negotiator.

Meanwhile Lajla Turner has been appointed to the role of head of lettings in Carter Jonas’s Kensington & Chelsea office. With almost twenty years’ experience working across prime central London. Prior to joining she was an associate director at Bodens Residential and worked in lettings for Lurot Brand.

“London’s inner and outer prime markets are undergoing a significant transformation in light of ongoing economic and political change. As a result, it is crucial that our business is equipped with the best people to manage any potential headwinds that may affect the sales, lettings and new homes markets” says Christopher Simon, head of operations at Carter Jonas.
