The Guild takes to the road for 25 regional meetings

The Guild of Professional Estate Agents is currently undertaking its latest roadshow, consisting of 25 regional meetings.

At the events, the network's membership – which is approaching 800 independent agents – are given the opportunity to discuss their ideas on the property market and best practice in estate agency.

The organisation says it is expecting over 500 associates in total to attend the local meetings, which have been taking place this month and continue into October.

Marcus Whewell, The Guild's chief executive, says that due to its membership structure, which sees just one agent selected from each town, The Guild has a 'genuinely collaborative network'.

"No agents are in competition with each other. Instead, [they can] share opinions openly," he says.

"The small meetings mean each agent can be heard and express their views in lively discussions."

The Guild's sales director, Bryan Mansell, joined the network in June and the organisation says the ex-Your Move, Countrywide and Chancellors director's presence at meetings is proving a success with members.

The meetings are led by either Whewell or Mansell, with the relevant Guild regional manager also present.

The events are taking place during The Guild's 'Choose Independent' campaign, which champions the independent agency that is part of the community, has in-depth local knowledge and proven skills and expertise in estate agency.

"There is a great deal to selling a property beyond putting it online," says the organisation.

Regional meetings have already taken place in several locations, including Norwich, Cambridge, Newcastle, Oxford, Shrewsbury and Wetherby.

The Brighton meeting takes place on September 27 and there will be meetings in London (October 5), Liverpool (October 12) and Exeter (October 19) over the next few weeks.
