Channel 4 is launching another property programme to complement hits such as Location, Location, Location and Phil Spencer’s Secret Agent, with a daytime show that attempts to have buyers competing with each other in different locations.
The programme - called Coast versus Country - is being made by Freeform Productions, creators of A Place In The Sun and competitive property show format Home Or Away.
The publicity material gives a flavour of what’s coming: “Coast V Country ... pits two beautiful dreams against each other – moving to a rural idyll in the British countryside versus enjoying a new life in a coastal hotspot by the sea. Battling presenters offer house hunters across the UK coastal and rural properties for sale.”
The first run will involve 30 editions of the 60-minute programme.
One of the presenters will be Sara Damergi, described as a buying expert and currently fronting A Place In The Sun. She says the new show promises “gorgeous locations, beautiful houses and a big dilemma with a potentially life changing conclusion.”
