Agency defies Brexit gloom by adding eight new branches in one month

Leaders’ plans for significant expansion in 2016 remain undeterred by Brexit with eight new branches added to its national network in the last month.

The company completed three acquisitions in different parts of the country between June 8 and the end of last week, bringing its total number of branches to 123.

Its latest spending spree began with acquiring Watson Mitchell, which operated two branches in Stamford and Bedford, before finalising purchases of Hollier Browne and its two branches in Birmingham, as well as Essex-based Allen Estates with its branches in Witham, Halstead, Kelvedon and Braintree.

“Having acquired more than 20 branches in the Midlands since April 2015, we have shown we are committed to reaching the top of this important market” according to Matthew Light, acquisitions director at Leaders.

Watson Mitchell, Hollier Browne and Allen Estates have had several decades of combined experience and a strong reputation in their respective areas. Leaders aims to retain all members of staff at all of its new acquisitions.

Light says the latest acquisitions “are far from the extent of our ambitions this year” and predicts more announcements over the summer.
