Police probe smash and grab burglary at 'unlucky' agency office

Vandals are reported to have smashed the windows of an estate agency with sledgehammers before destroying computers and stealing cash.

The Manchester Evening News reports that two men targeted the Roger Dean agency, smashing its front window and then going on the rampage inside.

The newspaper carries photographs taken by passers-by and posted on social media, revealing that the front of the office was open with smashed fragments of window on the interior floor.

A spokeswoman for Roger Dean told the newspaper that it was thought the same men attempted to smash the building on Monday May 2 with bricks but were unsuccessful. She added that the business had no idea why it was targeted.

In January the same agency office was damaged when a woman drove a Nissan Micra into its front window.
