Ex-Countrywide chief teams up with PropTech agency expert

The former Countrywide head of estate agency Bob Scarff is teaming up with property technology expert Rob Wellstead to create unspecified new technology aimed at sales and letting agents.

Wellstead is owner and founder of Home Counties agency Lenwell Property Services, which was established in 1990; Scarff has recently become a non-executive director.

A statement from the pair says: “The duo will use their vast knowledge and experience in the estate agency and letting industries to develop new property technology. These products will drive change in how the industry uses technology, making processes quicker and more efficient for the agents and the end customer.”

Wellstead is behind Callwell, a customer response and lead management service.

Timing their partnership to coincide with today’s Future: PropTech conference, Wellstead says: “We’re already working on a number of projects and will be announcing the launch of a new piece of technology soon, so watch this space.”

Scarff has recently taken up a number of consultancy and non-executive director roles following his departure from Countrywide.
