Eight in a row for Savills as it wins Superbrand title once again

Savills has been named the UK Business Superbrand for the eighth consecutive year, beating rival high-end firms CBRE, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Knight Frank and Strutt & Parker in the real estate category.

The Business Superbrands survey is independently administered by The Centre for Brand Analysis and assesses business-to-business brands. The process starts with 1,500 firms’ brands, judged on quality, reliability and distinction.

During the voting process all those involved are asked to consider the statement: ‘A Superbrand has established the finest reputation in its field. It offers customers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which customers want and recognise.’

“As a company expands it can be all too easy to lose sight of the values that have made you a success, but the fact that both our clients and peers continue to recognise Savills as the best of the best is proof we have successfully embedded these qualities at the core of everything we do” according to Mark Ridley, chief executive of Savills UK and Europe.

Savills now has over 700 offices worldwide, employing over 30,000 people.

Eight wins in a row? Hmm.

Probably can't deny they are somewhat of a superbrand, given their size, their distinctive branding and the amount of staff they employ. But whether they are a superbrand for the right reasons - or just there to help the very well-off - is another argument altogether. I know the services Savills offer are diverse, but they are first and foremost a high-end agency for the super-rich.

You don't become one of the biggest companies in the UK without knowing what you're doing. Why not give some credit where credit is due, Jon?
