The year is already in full swing with some agents on holiday in the next few days - and deserving a break after what appears to have been a strong start to the year in most places.
This hasn’t deterred those wanting to do their bit for charity, however. If your branch, company or team are doing something special to raise funds, drop us a line on email@example.com and we’ll give you an honourable mention.
Right, on with this week’s good work...
Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service: Romans Direct, an internal customer service team based at Romans’ head office in Crowthorne, has raised £117 for this great cause - by wearing hats!
National hat day took place on January 15 and the team embraced the challenge. This is one of the first charity events of the year for Romans, following an epic result last year whereby the company raised over £55,000 for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.
The money was raised through a combination of challenging and imaginative events, including; marathons, go-karting, golf competitions, cycling events, bodybuilding, sponsored walks, colour runs, auctions, and even the Great Romans Bald Off whereby two very brave employees agreed to shave off all of their hair.
Co-founder of the charity, Fiona Devine, comments: “The support of Romans is truly inspirational. Their passion, enthusiasm and dedication are fantastic and we are so grateful for everything they have done for us. We cannot thank them enough.”
Agents’ Giving: We’ve received a very timely reminder from Agents’ Giving, the estate agency industry charity, to remind agents that in some cases Agents’ Giving can assist with fund-raising for good causes through a Rightmove support grant.
