A PropTech firm is to launch a 'printed augmented reality' service that allows buyers to point their smartphone and get additional information on a property.
The technology, on a new website called Houseviz which is to launch "within days", combines floor plans, virtual tours, wide angle photograph and virtual reality.
"With an app and a print marker, potential homebuyers can point their smart devices at an image to browse all the property marketing in an instant. An app also provides buyers with access to property information via smart devices while looking at window displays, property magazines, newspapers or viewing printed brochures" says early publicity from the firm.
"So buyers get instant access to information about any properties they are interested in. With the technology capturing data such as engagement rates, estate agents will also be able to provide sellers with accurate reports as to who is looking at their properties" it claims.
Houseviz, which says it has "invested heavily" in augmented reality and claims to be the only UK firm offering this service, says there is a special offer for early applicants but is not revealing the subscription or pay-as-you-use prices for agents thereafter.

Augmented reality (as opposed to Virtual Reality) is a great way to bring your printed materials to life.
