More growth for agency group as it makes third acquisition in 12 months

SDL Group, which already owns the 54-branch Century 21 UK franchise, has now announced its third business acquisition in 12 months.

Humphreys of Chester, an estate agency, has been acquired by SDL for an undisclosed amount. Humphreys is a multiple award winning firm and the recipient of three Sunday Times Awards for estate agency and auctions.

The deal will see the Humphreys business expand across the north west region, covering sales, lettings, property management and auctions. It will report into Rob Clifford, SDL's estate agency chief executive.

SDL Group also has has significant stakes in national mortgage broker network Stonebridge, life insurance adviser Pure Protect and MoneyQuest the mortgage advice business.
