Hunters celebrates "most successful year" and continues TV ad in 2016

Franchise giant Hunters says 2015 was its most successful year to date.

The firm opened in 32 new locations during the past year, including Oxford, Southampton, London, Sunderland, the Wirral, Norfolk and Kent.

A key acquisition in the year was that of Country Properties, an existing franchised operation with strongholds in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, adding a further 23 branches to the Hunters network.

Having opened its first branch 24 years ago in York, Hunters now has 170 branches nationwide and says it is planning further expansion; it says branches in central London and north west England are scheduled to open before the end of March.

Last year also saw Hunters floating on the London Stock Exchange and launching a dedicated residential development division, and the launch of its first national TV commercial; this advert is to be the mainstay of the firm's advertising this year, too, and you can see it here

It is reassuring to see hight st agents like Your Move and Hunters putting TV ads out there to counter some of the claims and silliness in tv ads by HS, PB, EP and the rest of onliners...

    Jon Tarrey

Yes, but are they any less naff? Can't say I've ever seen a Hunters ad - or a Your Move one for that matter - but I don't have much faith in them being any less cheesy than the ads pumped out by Purplebricks and easyProp.

Can't say I've ever seen a Hunters ad - if I have, it completely passed me by, which is probably not the best sign - but I agree with Jon that the naffness of nearly all property adverts makes me switch off immediately.

Having said that, I'm gonna have to YouTube the Hunters ad now, just to check if I've seen it or not. I may have watched it subconsciously, without even realising.

    Fake Agent

No, I'd never seen it before. But yes, it was appropriately naff and cheesy. Thanks Hunters, you didn't let me down.

Still, given they've just had their most successful year to date, I doubt they mind too much about what I think!
