Fast-expanding estate agency group snaps up another company

The Romans Group has confirmed its fourth acquisition of the year - it has now merged with Campsie’s residential and commercial sales and lettings branches.

Campsie, which covers Staines-upon-Thames, West Drayton and Windsor, has been established for over 40 years and joined the Orchard & Shipman Group in 2005.

Expanding its territory coverage has been high on the agenda for Romans with a string of acquisitions under its belt since 2013 and a £12m finance facility from its bankers available for more business purchases.

From October 5, Campsie Windsor will be fully-incorporated into Romans - the Staines-upon-Thames and West Drayton offices remain in the same locations but are currently undergoing a rebranding into Romans Group livery and layout.

Romans now has 25 sales and lettings branches across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Middlesex, Oxfordshire and Surrey. Recent acquisitions have included Sherriff Mountford in Burnham, Atlantis in Reading, Meldrum Salter Edgley in Guildford, James Griffin in Bracknell, and the opening of new branches in Farnham and Sunningdale.

It doesn’t stop there - Romans says it is “actively looking” for further expansion.

I guess the clue's in their name - seems they're trying to build another Roman empire.
