The Countrywide group of estate agents has come out fighting after relatively poor figures revealed at the end of last week, and criticism from a former head of the firm.
Countrywide now says it has “significantly increased its regional footprint” by investing in the acquisition of 12 independent agencies in six months.
From the start of the year until 30 June 2015, Countrywide completed on businesses including Property Links in Plymouth, Anderson Residential in Sutton Coldfield, HE Lettings in Lincoln, JK Lettings in Truro, Underwoods Town & County Residential in Northampton, and Chattings in Lichfield.
Further acquisitions include the successful portfolios of All in One Move in Swindon, Let Verde in Northwich, Hardie Mansfield in Reigate, Pip Lettings in Lincoln and QMH in Croydon.
“These acquisitions significantly increase our regional footprint and fill geographical gaps in our portfolio” says a spokesman.
