So, our best foot forward with these runners...

Vanessa Staite, sales negotiator at RA Bennett & Partners, Leamington Spa (Countrywide): Vanessa will be running the London Marathon for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. She has already personally raised £3085 and has been inspired to raise money for this charity as a member of her family suffers from the disease and she is aware of the great work the Cystic Fibrosis Trust do. www.virginmoneygiving.com/vanessastaite

Rebecca Baker, area partner at Connells Hereford: Rebecca is running the London Marathon for the first time – this is also her first marathon.  She is running in memory of her Dad who she lost in 2012 to a brain tumour and is therefore running to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.  As this is her first marathon it is a huge challenge for her – her first training run was on New Years Day and she only managed one minute! However, she ran 18 miles last Sunday. www.virginmoneygiving.com/becsmarathonmission

Kev Gibbs, letting manager at The Letting Company, Corby: "I’m running for the charity Children with Cancer as I have friends who sadly have children who have been affected by cancer, and an extended family member who had cancer develop whilst young. It’s not difficult to get enthused about raising money for a charity like this."

Andy Bassett, office manager at Tucker Gardner: Andy will be running for Parkinson's UK and says: "The reason I decided to apply for a place with the charity is down to my dad, David. He has lived with Parkinson's for over 10 years now and has always hoped that with better research a cure may be found for the condition or just better treatments. Parkinson's UK fund ground-breaking research into the condition and also offer support for those affected and their families." www.justgiving.com/Andy-Bassett2015

Toby Carter, head of sales and digital marketing at Angels Media (publisher of Estate Agent Today): Toby will be representing the South London Special League, a charity which helps young sports players face challenges achieve their goals. Come on Toby!

Kathy Murphy, negotiator at Connells in St Budeaux, Plymouth: Kathy is running the London Marathon for the first time this year. She is running for the Teenage Cancer Trust – a charity that is particularly close to her and her family following the diagnoses of her brother, Ben, with cancer.  The Teenage Cancer Trust has been supporting her brother Ben and the family for the last three years while he battles the disease. Kathy will be running the marathon with her other brother Sam (who is Ben’s twin brother and who will be running for the second time).

Matt Clifford, sales manager at Regents Estate Agents: Matt is aiming to raise £2,000 for the Shooting Star Chase charity. https://www.justgiving.com/Matt-clifford/

Catherine Close, property manager at Benham & Reeves Residential Lettings: Catherine is running her first ever marathon. She has chosen to run the marathon in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a charity that is wholly reliant on private donations. Anita Mehra, Managing Director at Benham & Reeves Residential Lettings says: “We’re really happy to be supporting Catherine as she trains for The London Marathon and in her fundraising efforts.  She has set herself a formidable challenge on both fronts but knowing Catherine like we do, we have every confidence in her abilities.” https://www.justgiving.com/BR-Residential-Lettings/
