TODAY'S OTHER NEWS

Festive photos and a Merry Christmas from us (but we're here tomorrow…)

We know that many agents will be shutting up shop at the end of today for a well-earned Christmas break - so to you, everyone at Estate Agent Today and Letting Agent Today sends you sincere thanks for your support and hard work this year.

For those carrying on into Christmas Eve, we’ll be supplying our usual daily round-up of news tomorrow too, and then back again - as most agents are - for two days between Christmas and New Year.

EAT and LAT editor Graham Norwood will also be supplying a little light festive reading with his own Industry Winners and Losers of 2015 - that will be on our Industry Views section over the main days of Christmas.

But one of the great joys of the past two weeks has been your enthusiasm to share your photographs of what you’ve been up to, marking the festive season in your office.

We have the last of your photos today - and what a great selection they are.

Richard Rawlings may be the best respected agency trainer in the business, and he may well have set the cat amongst the pigeons this year with an Open Letter about the OnTheMarket portal, but he knows how to have a good time...but not until Christmas Day.

He’s sent us a picture of the T-shirt his children gave him a year ago when he didn’t switch off work under Christmas Day itself. Thanks for sharing this Richard - we salute you!

Next up is a heart warming image from Dezrez, the agency software and service provider. The staff at the firm have again been bringing Christmas joy to children in care this year with the Mr X Appeal, after donating a record number of presents to the campaign.

More than 80 gifts were donated by Dezrez to the charity, which is now in its 56th year and gives the public the opportunity to give to the many needy children in the Swansea area.

This is another example of just how generous our industry can be.

Then we have a couple of shots from Lacy Scott & Knight’s Bury St. Edmunds office - one of the team, Charlie, has very obviously gone cold turkey....but do we spot two people in the group picture NOT wearing Christmas jumpers? No presents for you!

We also have some shots of Romans staff, whose jumper-wearing activities netted a superb £200 for a good cause - the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service. This has been added to the company’s total for the year which is now £55,159.

And finally, a whole series of Yuletide pictures of the hard-working teams at Linley & Simpson in Yorkshire - more than 100 staff from across the firm’s Yorkshire offices took part in a Christmas jumper challenge.

The winning team was the office in Horsforth, Leeds, for a cheeky shot at the bottom of this selection - a reminder, if we needed it, that Christmas is over in a flash!

Thanks so much to EVERYONE who sent in their images - we think we’ve used them all over the past two weeks.

We look forward to doing the same again next year, but before that...have a wonderful Christmas to all of our readers.
