Hamptons International, which has been on an enthusiastic acquisition programme in recent months, has snapped up ikon, a London-based consultancy which offers regeneration advice to private developers and housing associations, amongst others.
The acquisition of ikon forms part of what Hamptons calls its strategic ambition to grow and strengthen its professional services offering, particularly in the public and affordable housing sectors.
Established in 2005, ikon's client list includes many of the sector's larger organisations and major projects, including Greenwich Peninsula, the residential development in the Olympic Park, and some inner London councils.
ikon's services range from development management through to technical delivery services such as project management.
The acquisition is so complimentary to our current development services offering. We have been working with the team at ikon for a number of years with blue chip clients across all sectors of the property industry says Alyn North, chief finance and operating officer at Hamptons.
