After years in the housing doldrums Spain appears to be 'back' as a property destination for buyers, with the news that Winkworth is opening a new office in Guadalmina, near Marbella.

The office will be owned and operated by Bernard Vent, who is also a Winkworth director in London. It will serve Guadalmina, Marbella, Estepona, Sotogrande and the surrounding area.

Winkworth already has a strong footing in the European property market with an international team in Mayfair as well as offices in Portugal and associates in France, Switzerland and Italy.

The firm also says it will move into "other areas of Spain."

Winkworth CEO Dominic Agace says his firm has more offices than ever before. "We believe that entering into this new market will allow us not only to continue to strengthen our position as a leading European estate agency but will enable us to continue to offer our clients new and exciting services he says.
