Hello and welcome back to another edition of Industry Views, brought to you by Estate Agent Today and Letting Agent Today.

As we move closer to January 1st 2015 and the launch of Agents' Mutual's portal OnTheMarket, the debate is now at its most ferocious with almost daily updates from analysts, agents and the portals themselves.

This week alone, it was announced that Scottish OTM agents will also be able to list on Citylets and yesterday it emerged that eMoov founder Russell Quirk has complained to the CMA over Agents' Mutual's blanket ban of online agents.

As launch day approaches the debate is going to continue and if you haven't had your say yet, fill out our survey or join one of the many debates we have on our site around the portal wars.

One of the week's other big stories was the CHAPS delay. As part of this week's Industry Views Rob Hailstone gives us his take on the mess-up which he says could have been a lot worse if it had happened on a Friday or Bank Holiday.

Meanwhile, Mark Riddick gives us the second part of his 'if opportunity doesn't knock, build a door' series, which focuses on entrepreneurial application.

In Profile' returns and this week's featured agent is Daniel Galati, the Land and New Homes Director at Mullucks Wells, who says overvaluing is one of the biggest issues facing estate agency. Read Daniel's full interview here.

In our Agents Do Charity round-up this week we have fantastic news of charitable work undertaken in the name of Macmillan Cancer Support, Retrak and The Cure Parkinson's Trust. A special mention also goes out to Andre de Villiers who works for Chas Everitt in South Africa. Andre got in touch and told us that he reads the charity article every week. The agency is doing some great work for elderly residents in Cape Town, and you can read all about it here.

That's it for this week - have a great weekend.
