Tangibly different? It certainly doesn't look different; the graphics and design are as terribly naf as we are accustomed to, and the name is really silly (and missing an apostrophe, unless it's not meant to be 'booming'). The whole thing is lacking in quality. Plus 'sneak peak' before marketing? Sneak peak at a property before the marketing material is ready, as in off market or pre-launch... sounds confusing to me. No matter how large the marketing budget may be, and I understand the owners are huge on quantity not quality as a business model, it still irks me that this is considered innovative.

Dexters have always been infamous for terrible employee treatment and institutionalised misogyny, amongst other things. The anecdotal evidence over the years has been widely spread and deeply understood within the industry. Hopefully, this will be the crisis that exposes such bad practices.

Perhaps the lack of compassion or loyalty to customers will lead to a meaningful turn against the monopolising portal.

Ill-considered, clumsily-delivered and without understanding of small-to-medium business cash flow. Sigh.

It has already caught on! My partner and I established our very own hybrid (even before these guys) which Graham wrote about in the first few, fledgling months... www.brickworkslondon.com which has seen great success in London and now beyond. It's not just that hybrid is the future, it's that there's a new wave of agencies in terms of attitude, politics, level of customer service and the quality of the overall marketing material, which will I'm afraid blow the online, lowest common denominator out of the water, but also shows the old school business model to be borderline obsolete. People have had enough, and the industry is in a state of disruption flux, which is a pretty good thing imho.
