On the house! Former pub landlord takes on Winkworth franchise

A former pub landlord has been appointed a new franchisee to take over Winkworth’s Worthing office on the South Coast.

Nathan Wright has joined the Winkworth network following a career in property and running his own businesses.

After 15 years working in estate agency in Christchurch and Poole, Nathan started a career in the hospitality industry, owning and running an award-winning pub company with four pubs, in Brighton and in Worthing.

He then took over a business in specialist designer paints and paper, before returning to the property industry in 2021, working for a local Worthing estate agency. He has taken over the Winkworth office from Steve Magee, who has retired.

Wright said: “I am delighted to have joined the Winkworth network.  Worthing is such a brilliant, thriving town which has enjoyed a considerable renaissance in recent years. I have spent a number of years working in the town and seen the halo effect from the success of neighbouring Brighton. Worthing continues to offer great value as well as beautiful period architecture and all the attractions of living on the coast.”

Dominic Agace, chief executive of Winkworth, added: “Nathan offers a great combination of an extensive property background, owning his own business and an exceptional knowledge of the local area.  We are always looking for talented property professionals with a wide-ranging expertise to join us as franchisees. “
