Zoopla is today launching a new TV-led marketing campaign as it ups the ante in its battle with Rightmove.

The spend and scale of the campaign also underline the tough battle that lies ahead of new challengers, including Agents’ Mutual.

The campaign dramatises features on Zoopla which helps users make ‘smarter’ property decisions.

It shows the wide range of local information available, such as proximity to transport links, school performance data and local area ratings.

As well as new national TV and radio adverts, the campaign will also include bus, tube and outdoor advertising.

Alex Chesterman, CEO of Zoopla, said: “We remain committed to making Zoopla synonymous with property search in the UK. This latest marketing investment, our largest to date, is an example of that commitment.

“We are very excited about the new campaign which we think really brings our brand and values to life.”

Lots of talk about Movingaway.co.uk on the streets I heard some people talking about there investers in the Hilton two months ago, and someone els on the bus last week.

It's a new site like R M and zoopla that's on it's way or something, but only time will tell. I wish zoopla rightmove and movingaway all the luck, but yes the fees are high i been told.

Its not about searching its about selling to vendors, RM fully understand that and will win.

Little agents have often tried to pretend they are better by sharing, ask the best like Romans etc if they will? Never, now who do you want to sell you biggest asset? No brainer!

    Thoughts please.
If I'm wrong about collaboration, then why is it that Zoopla have copied me and launched their so called marketplace.zoopla? This is just another way for the big boys to show their strength

    @ in the know
Had a bad day have we. Obviously a personal friend of Alex Chesterman, as you seem to know him so well - I think not.

What ever way you look at it, all estate agents and portals are businesses, which exist to make a profit. Some are better than others, and bring different things to the table. Personally, I think Zoopla are great, the information found, I have found very useful when looking for a property. Often more so and more trust worth than selected

Zoopla can spend all it wants but it will still be the massive casualty when all the Agents Mutual branches pull away from it to fund their own website.
They will never catch up with RM, the gulf is too great (even though they will tell you they are as good or better when they increase their fees next time)
In an improved market we are less relient on portals...at least less relient on 2 portals. Let's face it if you take a property on the market today and it is the right price then either of the existing portals would provide enough enquiries to sell it.So why pay for 2....the public have become far less bothered about how many websites you advertise on when choosing an agent to instruct.

looks like a good tv ad and campaign - one of the more interesting ones we have seen in this space. @intheknow would appear not to know very much - agent mutual is much more likely to be an ant in the room than an elephant in the room. i guess @intheknow must work for rightmove.

Chesterman must be shi**ing himself because he'll never ever be able to IPO Zoopla to investors with the elephant in the room of Agents Mutual....its too much of a material risk!

Serves him right really.......he is a con artist....someone that would sell their own parents by all accounts!

Zoopla only has one aim and that is to fleece agents as much as possible in monthly fees....the same as rightmove.

People only want rightmove as seen by their 84% market share....no one wants a child like brand like zooloop or whatever it is called......lol!
