Zoopla has reported that in the three years since it launched, it has delivered over 15 million property inquiries from consumers to agents.

Zoopla says it now has 12,500 estate agent, letting agent and property developer members, and that in June alone, the site sent over 750,000 leads to its members – or one every three seconds.

With the recent completion of its merger with Digital Property Group, the combined number of inquiries delivered by the enlarged group, once fully integrated, is likely to be much higher, says the site.

Zoopla has also launched a number of further exclusive partnerships in just the past month which include The Telegraph, plus more controversially with the Independent and London Evening Standard, which simultaneously launched a free lettings listings site for landlords, which cuts out agents.

Alex Chesterman, founder and CEO of Zoopla, said: “Our business is about helping house hunters find their next home and connecting them with agents and developers marketing the properties that they are interested in.

“We are delighted to be able to match so many house hunters to suitable properties every day and to be able to provide this level of inquiries and exposure to our members.

“Our goal is to be the most effective marketing partner to our members, and we will continue to invest to ensure this is the case.”

There is a reason to why Zoopla refuse to be independently audited by ABC. If they want to prove they are being honest its simple to do.

It appears that Zoopla is not as great at generating new business leads at what it is claiming to be!

Qulaity and quantitiy of leads from Zoopla and Rightmove are pretty similar. Zoopla have come a long way in just 3 years. 750,000 leads per month is impressive and when TDPG leads are added in due course will compare favourably to RM (at a far lower cost). For our branches, the cost per lead of Zoopla (subscription cost divided by number of leads) is exactly half that of Rightmove so twice as good value for us than Righmove.

Zoopla deliver more leads and better quality leads to us than Rightmove. We aren't with Digital Group but when they add these on then we will cancel Rightmove. Both Rightmove and Zoopla provide leads for specific properties and for general enquiries and the informaiton on both is the same. You only have to look at the forms on their websites to see that many of the comments below make no sense (unless you work for Rightmove).

Joined Zoopla when they first started. 70% of leads were either false or not relevant. When you are paying per lead, the cost soon escalates for no new business supplied. They have tried to get us back on board several times (a bit desperate if you ask me), but will never deal with them again!!
I`m sure other agents will eventually click on to the fact that Zoopla allows these false leads to go through & then charges the agent for the privilege! We kept getting leads from made up email addresses (makes you wonder whether Zoopla were commissioning these themselves - it`s easily done!)

According to Zoopla's website they have 668,432 properties. That means they averagely generate 1.1 lead per property, per month. Well let's hope that 1 lead generates a sale to make their fees worthwhile. Go back to selling films Alex!

I agree 100% with the others. They are just grabbing a name and sending it out on bulk to agents as a lead.

Leads are unqualified and extremely poor due this. If leads are send on average to 10 agents , then in reality this is really only around 75000 unique leads per month which is being generated.

So if they have12,500 agents , then this really equates to 6 leads per month per agent. piss poor in my view

Thats not very many in the time scale, must do better if they want to be taken seriously.

Worst portal in the sector! Poor unqualified mass leads that "lead" to nothing. Zoopla just keep buying more and more websites to increase their online and offline coverage but don't actually get you anymore business. Hate RM also but at least they provide genuine leads which is why they can overcharge.

this all may be so but in comparison to RM the leads are very poor quality with little information on. % wise in comparison to the others virtually useless we are members and are very dissapointed with results
